« Hear your name » We all have received a name which identifies us and distinguishes us from others. Our name is beautiful, absolutely meaningful when it is pronounced by people who love us. We can hear our names: « Anne, Peter, Jane… and today “Mary!” called by the Risen Christ. This woman who came back to the tomb because of love. Session with the Mission Partners from Singapore on 13 th -22 nd June 2018 Following the group from Macau (30 th April-7 th May) a group from Singapore came to the Mother House for 8 day session (13 th -22 nd June). This group had 15 Mission Partners and one Good Shepherd Sister from Malaysia who is responsible for “Enrichment Mission” Project in Singapore. Among the Mission Partners there were 6 teachers of the “Mary Mount” kindergarten, 8 teachers of the “Mary Mount” primary school and one Good Shepherd volunteer who has her own job. “We are all sowers of hope” was the theme chosen for the event we organized for young people on May 25 th 2018. We were inspired by the fact that St. Mary Euphrasia was called “Madame de l’Esperance” (Lady of Hope) and we wanted this message of hope for our young people today to be an extension of the celebrations for the 150 th anniversary of her death this year. In order to organize this event we contacted the Parish Priest, Fr. Jean-Paul Avrillon to know how to reach the young people. Sister Marie-Thérèse de Soubiran. Sister of Mary Auxiliatrix Sister Mary of the Sacred Heart. Sister of Our Lady of Charity Sophie Thérèse de Soubiran is born on May 16 th 1834, in Castelnaudary, France. In 1854, she is invited by her uncle to found a Beguines community in Castelnaudary. Few years later, in 1865, after spending a long time in prayer and discernment, she feels that God is calling her to create the Congregation of Mary Auxiliatrix. Session “Deepening our identity together” with the Mission partners from Macau April 30 th - May 7 th 2018 Five mission partners and one of our Sisters from the Mission in Macau were very interested to come to Angers so as to deepen their understanding of the roots of the Congregation. The mission partners had been working with our Sisters for many years and collaborated very closely with our Sisters in their mission with women and girls. Saturday April 28 th and Sunday April 29 th in Noirmoutier 150 th anniversary of the death of St. Mary Eufrasia A delegation, made up of 3 Sisters from the Congregational Spirituality Centre, one Sister from St. Pierre community of Angers, one lay person who was part of the choir for the celebrations of April 21 st and 22 nd and 2 other lay people working for the Sharing Fair shop, was happy to go to the birth island of our foundress on April 28 th and 29 th . 150 th anniversary of the death of St. Mary Euphrasia On this anniversary of the death of St. Mary Euphrasia 150 years ago, a Eucharist presided by Fr. Quris, responsible for the religious in the diocese of Angers, and concelebrated by Fr. Malek, leader of the Maronite parish, took place in the chapel of the Motherhouse It was a festive and at the same time a simple Eucharist.
