Fourth Chapter of the Province of South East Latin America
Article by the Province of South East Latin America
Our Province of South East Latin America (Paraguay and Brazil) held its fourth Provincial Chapter from March 1 to 5, 2021, during which we were deeply enriched by the presence of our apostolic and contemplative lay partners in mission.
By God's grace, the Congregation can share the mission of Jesus the Good Shepherd with our lay partners. On the opening day of Chapter celebrations, some of the participating partners shared their testimonies, which we would like to share now with the Congregation.

"We feel grateful for how the Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd welcomes the laity, showing us care and consideration. This welcome strengthens our union and encourages our journey in the mission as a community. Congratulations to Sr. Eliene Barros and the entire team for the preparations they made for the Chapter."

"To be partners in mission of the Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd means to live the Charism, Spirituality, and Mission as a learning experience that transforms us. It is putting Christ at the center of our life. It was in the Congregation that I learned the true meaning of the word 'welcome'. I learned to be merciful, to forgive. I saw my family transformed. I am so grateful to all the sisters."

"I am grateful for the opportunity that the Congregation has given me to share my testimony as a Good Shepherd Partner in Mission. It is a very important experience for me that allows me to reaffirm three Fundamental Pillars of the Mission: 'Spirituality, Justice and Peace, and Formation'. Despite the changing times, and new organizational forms, we continue to be consistent with the Zeal and the Merciful Love of the Good Shepherd, of our foundress Saint Mary Euphrasia, and of our spiritual guide Saint John Eudes. Every day we seek to be inspired by the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, to bring about and build up the Kingdom of God here on Earth. Thank you so much."
