The hot topic on the minds of the Good Shepherd family is the separation of immigrant children from their parents at the U.S. border. Hundreds of "freedom warriors" from border states began rallying at the detention camps in Tornillo, Texas, in late June. Session “Deepening our identity together” with the Mission partners from Macau April 30 th - May 7 th 2018 Five mission partners and one of our Sisters from the Mission in Macau were very interested to come to Angers so as to deepen their understanding of the roots of the Congregation. The mission partners had been working with our Sisters for many years and collaborated very closely with our Sisters in their mission with women and girls. Inter-cultural community- the reality! Sr. Christine Burke, IBVM Christine Burke is an IBVM (Loreto) sister who entered religious life in the exciting years of Vatican II. Her ministry has been mainly in adult faith education and tertiary theological education, followed by some time in leadership of the province of Australia, Vietnam and Timor Leste.The last four years she has lived in Manila, in community with young sisters from China, Korea and USA, who are studying theology.
