First  Week

The last of the 3 regional sessions for formators is currently taking place in Nairobi, Kenya. The 54 participants have come from 13 provinces covering Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

Second Week

This week we began to reflect on the reality of emerging religious life and formation. We continued to use the co-learning model, as developed in our sessions last week.

Third Week
Having completed the 3rd week, we are now half way through the session for formators in Nairobi. The group has bonded well and many new friendships have been forged, which we hope will continue long into the future.

Fourth Week

Time is passing quickly here in Nairobi and we have now completed 4 weeks of the formator’s programme. This week we reflected on an article by Joan Chittester “Climbing the 8 mountains of Religious life” and then on the vows as we understand them today.

Fifth Week

July 31st, St. Mary Euphrasia’s birthday, gifted us with Clare Nolan who presented a module on Justice and Peace for formation.  Justice is not just an added extra which some of us might be interested in, but it is who we are in trying to be more Christ-like, how we are with people in ministry and in our own communities and where we are all over the world.

Final Week

The Challenge of Leadership
We began our final week of the session with a module on the Challenge of Leadership facilitated by Lim Mung San, Principal Consultant of Connecting Tracks Consultancy, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
