Meeting of the “Missionary Process and Expansion” Committee - Rome - 1st to 5th February 2012
The “Missionary Process and Expansion” Committee held a meeting in Rome from 1st to 5th of
February with the presence of Sister Nirmala Abeysinghe, a resource team member. The main objective was to prepare the course for missionaries which will take place in Angers from the 29th of October to the 17th of November 2012. The other objective was to reflect on possible ways to answer the needs of “returning missionaries”.
The Committee recalled the importance of the missionary spirit throughout our religious life wherever we are in mission. They were reminded of the need for compassion in our mutual relationship with one another as Good Shepherd Sisters. ”Our affection for one another must never impair the charity and justice which unite us to each Sister and the whole Institute.” (Conference 40)
