Sr. Francisca Aguillón was elected as Province Leader of the Province of Central South US. The Province Chapter was held at the Province Center in Carrollton,
Ohio, from 10th to 16th July 2016. Francisca was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, and entered the Congregation in El Paso, Texas in 1988.
She made her perpetual profession on 30th May 1994 in El Paso, Texas.
Francisca obtained an Associate degree in Applied Science in Human Services with additional courses in:
Pastoral Ministry, Religious Education Administration and Hispanic Formation.
Her apostolic ministries have focused on Hispanic/Latino immigrants and migrant workers in the States of New York,
Florida and Ohio, in advocacy, referral, immigration law, legal rights, health, English as a Second Language courses, housing,
enculturation, creating forums for the advancement of Latino culture and assimilation into local Catholic parish life.
Francisca is widely known throughout the State of Ohio for her energy and efforts to assist the Hispanic/Latino immigrants with social justice issues.
She previously served on the Province Leadership Team during the 2012 – 2016 mandate.
