- Review of the Copenhagen World Summit for Social Development, Copenhagen +10, 10-year review
- Initiates Study on violence against children, Special Rapporteur
- Issues report of the Secretary General In Larger Freedom
- Holds first General assembly NGO hearings on the issue of Secretary General Report, In Larger Freedom
The NGO office
- Accepts its first two Good Shepherd interns, Hiam and Melania from Lebanon and Indonesia
- Sponsors a speaker in the NGO hearings on Trafficking and Violence Against Women
- Presents at a workshop at the Annual DPI/NGO Department of Public Information Conference in September
- Co-hosts five CSW workshops for B+10 and co-sponsors a reception for the Special Rapporteur Against Trafficking
- Submits 1st GS report to The Convention to Eliminate all Forms of Discrimination Against Women, CEDAW, Lebanon
- Contributes, through international participation, to the UN Study on Violence Against Children
- Rejoices that GS NGO Regional reps are named by Central Leadership Team
