The UN

  • Holds the 50th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women
  • Initiates Study on Violence Against Women, DAW
  • Holds NGO hearings on the issue of International Migration and Development  Celebrate the UN at 60   
  • Begins a process on the issue of International Migration and Development

The NGO office 
  • Supports submission of GS CEDAW reports  from GS Australia joint w/Thailand from GS Malaysia
  • Accepts its second year Good Shepherd interns (2)
  • Contributes, through international GS participation, to DAW, Division for the Advancement of Women, Study on Violence Against Women
  • Sponsors workshop presentation by GS Canada at CSW Commission on the Status of Women
  •  Sponsors workshop presentation by GS Ethiopia at CSW Commission on the Status of Women 
  • Celebrates 10 years of development, dreams about future development and greater local participation and integration.
